📄️ Introduction
A large proportion of the world's disease burden00395-3/fulltext#text=GBD%202019%20confirmed%20that%20a,a%20reduction%20in%20the%20burden) is attributable to mental disorders. In fact mental disorders are among the leading causes. An important aspect of the mental health treatment gap is the diagnostic gap00673-5/fulltext) (i.e., the proportion of the population with a condition who remain undiagnosed).

📄️ Patient Management
MHIRA is conceptualised as an electronic health record centred around cases (i.e., patients). By creating a patient entry, the mental health care workers can access all the information about their patient in one site.
📄️ Assessments
Assessments are sessions in which information about a patient is collected.
📄️ Reports
Now that questionnaire data has been collected, the mental health care worker can proceed to access a report on the collected data. As an example, this could be the calculated scales of a given questionnaire represented as a graph which also shows the likelihood of the results compared to healthy control subjects. In case of repeated measures, the graph could show the severity of symptoms over time. A report could also link to psychoeducation materials or suggest treatments or further assessments based on the obtained results.
